If you are a veteran with a disability and would like to enroll in one of our US Sailing Accredited sailing classes, you may do so.  However, in order to better prepare for the class, we ask that you participate in our weekly Veterans Adaptive Sailing Program no less than four (4) times prior to your first class.

You cannot participate if you:
• Are under the Influence of Alcohol, Illegal Drugs, or Legal Drugs That Impair You in Any Way
• Have Epilepsy or Seizure Disorders That Do Not Permit You to Drive
• Suffer from a Heart Condition That May Require Immediate Medical Attention

Preparing for the Sail

Remember to wear clothing that allows for getting wet and make sure to wear either sun protective clothing or a strong UV sun screen.  Bring along a cap and sunglasses.  A booking is only considered firm on receipt of your deposit.

Weather Changes

Out of the many sails around the nation each year, many are made when the weather is inclement!  Just because the weather is unsuitable, or you think it is where you are, doesn't mean it is on Biscayne Bay!  Some days we will have sailing scheduled when the weather just does not cooperate.  We will not sail in unsafe weather conditions; however, in most cases we won't know how the weather will be until just before the time of departure.

If inclement weather forces cancellation of your sail, we will give you a voucher so that you may come back and sail at another time.  No refunds are issued.  It is the sailor's responsibility to reschedule. We provide boats, instruction, equipment, instructors, and a place to sail, but it is your responsibility to reschedule.

Bearing all this in mind, you are expected to turn up to make your sail as scheduled. If you fail to turn up for your appointment, there will be no refund issued.  We need at least 24-hours notice in order for you to change your appointment without forfeiting the class fee.

Late Arrivals

Please be courteous to other guests/students.  Arrive at least 30 minutes early and provide adequate time before your scheduled departure to use restrooms.  No refunds will be issued if you arrive late.  If vacancies are available on other relative dates, we will attempt to reschedule you accordingly;  however, please strive to arrive on time as we cannot guarantee that you can be rescheduled.

Team Paradise requires a minimum of two (2) students per boat. When scheduling your sailing class, please be mindful that any cancellation on your part will jeopardize the class itself and likely cause Team Paradise to be forced to cancel the day. A second cancellation on your part may forfeit your class tuition with no option to reschedule.
