Community Sailing

Many kids would love to go sailing if they could go on the same boat as their friends. They don’t necessarily care about racing, they just want to have fun! Our RS Venture with the weighted centerboard is perfect for this because it’s modern, exciting and safe. By easily removing adaptive seating and other adaptive aids (which simply snap in and out of the boat), the RS Venture accommodates up to eight kids!

Summer Camp

Team Paradise Summer Camp with Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department begins July 6th.  Campers who are able to swim can partake in a fun-filled day at the Viscaya Sand Bar. On arrival, campers will be met by US Gold Medalist Magus Liljedahl for an inspiring and motivating presentation, followed by a safety orientation.  Then it’s off to the Sand Bar in our RS Venture and safety boats. Our oversized inflatable paddle boards will be in place for a fun time on the water.

Non swimmers will be teaming up onboard our Sonar 23' keelboats for a scenic and calming tour of Biscayne Bay.  Campers will have the opportunity to learn about marine life, local weather conditions and how our thermal conditions and tide affect mariners and those living around Biscayne Bay.

Team Paradise's Community Youth Sailing Program

Unplug from electronic devices and tune in to nature!  Team Paradise is pleased to offer its Community Youth Sailing Program for boys and girls from eight to 17 years of age. Our new fleet of RS Venture boats is the perfect platform, not only for youth, but also for those with physical disabilities and anyone interested in sailing.

Cruise around on Biscayne Bay, surfing the waves, reaching destinations such as sand banks and nearby islands that provide opportunities for a swim! The Community Youth Sailing Program is recreational and non-competitive in nature.  Team Paradise also offers a summer sailing camp in June and July.

Our curriculum provides a measurable outcome. Participants have the opportunity to learn about:  basic sailing, navigation and knot tying, local weather conditions and how tides and thermal conditions affect mariners and those living on and around Biscayne Bay, marine life and the unique habitat of Biscayne Bay!

Coaches and safety protocol provide for a fun-filled experience! The coaching staff includes local sailors who grew up sailing on Biscayne Bay.  We provide the life-jackets and you can be sure that safety is always our main priority!
