Welcome to our membership based Bare Boat Charter program, sailing in Miami on beautiful Biscayne Bay in our Sonar or 2.4mR boats.
You are eligible to participate if you have proven documented knowledge, or if you have demonstrated your capabilities and successfully completed our Certification Course. The level of certification received depends on your skills and abilities to controll the boat in a verity of conditions. Limits range for sailing in up to 10 mph wind strength, 15mph, or up to 20 mph. We do not charter boats for 20-mph + winds, but will allow access to boats for those with enough exprience and skills to safely handle the conditions on hand.
Membership in Team Paradise is required.
• Class schedule and pricing may change without prior notice for Sailing School and the Bare Boat Charter.
• Minimum of 24 hour advanced scheduling is required for both. Boats may not be available at all times, but we will make all efforts possible to accommodate your needs.
• Certification for Bare Boat Charter is issued on an individual basis. Team Paradise reserves all rights to refuse anyone certification because of lack of skills and seamanship.
• $500 refundable damage deposit is required for all Bare Boat Charter.
• The refundable Damage Deposit will be returned once vessel has been returned to port and properly inspected, no later than 2 business days after the rental is completed. Normal wear and tear is no reason to deduct from the Damage Deposit, but neglect and/or ignorance of seamanship may be. Boats should be returned in the same shape as when they left the dock.
• Any collision occurring while racing must result in a protest, filed by the skipper of the Team Paradise vessel, to the Race Committee, within the protest time limit.
• Waiver of Liability and Injury – Participation in Team Paradise events is at your own risk. Team Paradise will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with, or prior to, or during, or after the event.
