PERFORMANCE SAILING WITH SPINNAKER ENDORSEMENT
For those with sailing experience wishing to develop advanced sailing skills useful for racing and enjoyment. This is a 24-hour three-day course designed to teach rigging and use the spinnaker and advanced docking maneuvers, as well as refine close-hauled, beam and broad reach, and running before the wind with spinnaker. Sailors refine tacking and jibing maneuvers with spinnaker suitable for racing, and spinnaker hoists, reach-to-reach jibes, sailing by the lee, stretch and blow, and floater takedowns. Learn weather prediction, radio protocol, anchoring, and emergencies, as well as advanced sail theory, sail shaping, and sail control use, including vang, outhaul, backstays, twings, barber-haulers, jib & main cunninghams, and reefing, for light-medium-heavy air and transitions.
