SYSTEM S9-E7

That’s more like it!

Today was ideal for our group—the forecast called for south winds, 5 to 10 knots with a light chop. Our coaching staff, Ella, Marite, Justine, David, and Mo, made everything breeze. Congratulations to Ella for becoming an L-3 certified youth coach. That’s what’s needed to run the show. Ella is adjusting quickly! Coach David noticed and commented as I passed the clipboard to Ella. My act is a milestone in our evolution. We are what our name says, we are a TEAM!

While our Harbor is still a construction site, the new docks and configuration are an improvement. The construction barge partially blocked our exit, but it was easy to manage with high tide and a southerly wind. We all met outside Spoil Island and sailed together towards Key Biscayne. It looked like K-B West Point would be our destination for a while, but due to lots of boat traffic and time restrictions, we sailed back to Paradise Island 305 for our signature sandbar experience.

All the boats were clean and properly stored, and our class was dismissed at 3 PM sharp. Thank you all for making this a very special day. Everyone was safe, had fun, and learned something new! Next Saturday will be our last day before Summer Camps.

Your homework assignment is to review the lessons learned below. One item is new from this week. Check it out!

LET’S HAVE FUN, BE SAFE AND LEARN A BUNCH

Lining up! This is what’s you should look like. Each boat is not overlapped, but at the very least, they are in the same picture frame, the sails are trimmed correctly and they are all pointing in somewhat the same direction. Let's do it!
